Currently, as reported this morning by La Gazzetta dello Sport, the three hottest names are Gianluca Scamacca from West Ham, Alvaro Morata from Atletico Madrid, and Lois Openda from Lens.
After closely following the Italian striker last year as well, when he left Sassuolo to move to the Premier League for nearly 40 million euros, Gianluca Scamacca has returned to the AC Milan radar, who would like to take him on loan with a possible buyout option. However, at the moment, Premier League club West Ham, due to the significant amount of money spent last summer, are not open to this formula as they would like to recoup their expenses in case of a transfer. There is also strong competition from Roma for the Italian center-forward.
The path leading to Alvaro Morata, on the other hand, seems to be a bit simpler: the Spanish player could be available for 10 million euros. This is the value of the buyout clause in his contract. However, we are talking about a 30-year-old player, so it remains to be seen whether the AC Milan club managers will choose to invest in someone like him or prefer a younger profile, such as Openda, for example.
The Belgian player, currently at Lens, who is highly appreciated by Stefano Pioli, seemed to no longer be a target for AC Milan, but in the last few hours, Lois Openda's profile has resurfaced at Casa Milan. There are two obstacles, however, the rather high price and strong competition to sign him.
