The AC Milan managers are still working on the transfer market window. The Rossoneri, in the last hours, have already closed a deal: we are talking about Alexis Saelemaekers who will join Thiago Motta's Bologna squad in the coming hours. Details of the deal are 1 million euros for the loan and around 10 million euros should the deal be made permanent.
Are other departures possible?
Torino's striker Sanabria is suffering from an injury and they may decide to sign Divock Origi who, however, is not a low-cost solution for the Granata, given the salary of the former Liverpool player. On the other hand, the 28-year-old player could return to the Premier League if some clubs do not reach their primary targets in the market.
As for Fodé Ballo-Touré, he is waiting for Werder Bremen while Mattia Caldara may join Fatih Karagümrük in Turkey.
AC Milan are plotting for the tenth signing...
Regarding the incoming signings situation, the target for the club is Mehdi Taremi. A striker is needed, and this has been made clear by head coach Stefano Pioli after Milan - Torino Serie A fixture. The Rossoneri club is negotiating for Mehdi Taremi from Porto. The deal remains difficult but the Iranian striker has asked his club Porto to leave. Taremi is 31 years of age and knows that Milan could be his last chance to play for a big club.
Porto, for their part, are not in need to sell since they have just let Otavio leave for a whopping fee around 60 million euros. But, they would lose about 20 million euros as Taremi's contract expires next year and would therefore be free to join any club as a free agent.
The Iranian striker's agents are working hard to lower Porto's financial demands. Milan, though, are willing to pay a maximum of 15 t o 18 million euros (with some bonuses to sweeten the deal for the Portuguese side). The next few hours will be crucial in determining whether there will be a chance to buy the player's card or not.
If Milan decide that they cannot sign Taremi, then they may look at alternative targets. Although in the last few hours the optimism of the Rossoneri executives is increasing because they hope that Porto will accommodate Tameri who is pushing to leave. The Iranian in his career at Porto has expressed exemplary professionalism, he would not want to break with his club because he is sure he will eventually be satisfied.
