Divock Origi's move to Milan was seen as an opportunity for him to relaunch his career as a protagonist, but after just one season, his experience with the Rossoneri has turned into a missed opportunity.
In fact, as pointed out by Calcio Style, the Belgian striker, after failing last season with Milan, has still not shown his qualities yet in his new team, Nottingham Forest. His time in England does not seem to be going well so far. That is why, a possible return to Italy is highly likely if matters continue like this.
One thing is certain, however, AC Milan's coach, Stefano Pioli, has no intention of relying on Divock Origi in case of a possible return to Milanello. He is definitely not in the project of the club and that was made clear when he was excluded from the trip to the United States of America in the summer.
AC Milan management intends to sell the player. That much is clear. but, it remains to be seen how the future will look like, because it seems that a sale will be difficult to make if the former Liverpool player does not perform well. Nottingham Forest will not be keen to sign him permanently despite the low purchase option which is set at 4.5 million euros.
The 28-year-old played 58 minutes, spread over 4 matches in the Premier League. It's a difficult situation for Origi, and he must step up his efforts. If the Englsih club does not sign him, AC Milan will certainly look for other solutions in the market next summer.
