The AC Milan club managers are working on reinforcing the defence, even after having already recalled Matteo Gabbia back from his loan at Villarreal. In fact, there is, reportedly, a plan to sign a new centre-back in the winter if the opportunity presents itself, but also in the summer.
According to what is reported by La Gazzetta dello Sport in this morning's print edition, the Rossoneri club directors are keeping a close eye on Premier League side Fulham's centre-back Tosin Adarabioyo. His contract runs until the end of the current season campaign.
Adarabioyo, is a 26-year-old Englishman, with roots from Nigeria. He is a former Manchester City U-23 player and has been at Fulham since 2020. This season, he played around 720 minutes in 10 matches across EFL Cup, Premier League, and FA Cup. He has one goal registered to his name. He is 196 centimetres tall and is right-footed.
AC Milan are keeping his name on the agenda in view of a possible move in the summer on a free transfer. However, a deal in January cannot be excluded, with the right conditions.
For now, though, it seems that the primary name is still the 24-year-old French centre-back of Brest, Lilian Brassier. The seven-time Champions League winners would like to spend less than 10 million euros to acquire his services, but the obstacle is the presence of Ligue 1 side Monaco in the race and they are offering a higher fee than what Milan is willing to put on the table.
