Interviewed on TV Play, Mario Balotelli spoke about the recent matches of AC Milan and the on-field attitude of Rafael Leao:
"I was watching AC Milan in the Coppa Italia with my brother, I saw Leao. And I said, 'Is it possible that Rafa plays like I used to?' It seemed like he didn't have the desire. Just as I said this, he scored (laughs). I greet him, he's my friend."
Balotelli continued:
"The last action in Milan-Atalanta, for me, is a penalty. In the Coppa Italia, in the quarter-finals, with the score at 2-1 for the other team... I find it scandalous not to give this penalty. The way I've seen Milan play in the last few matches, it's a team hard to classify. Maybe they have a great game against a team like PSG and next, they make glaring missteps."
Finally, the former Milan striker Balotelli concluded:
"Perhaps the problem lies in motivation. There aren't many exceptional players, aside from two or three. A player may have more or less motivation, but it's up to you to find it. A Milan that wins the Europa League still creates less buzz than other teams."
