Barcelona's current head coach, Xavi, was one of the best midfielders in his time. The Spanish legend was known for his accurate passes, assists, vision on the pitch, and goals. His career, however, could have been different had he taken the offer from AC Milan when he was just a teenager.
Here are his words in a press conference on the eve of the league match against Celta Vigo:
"Since I was a child, I've been a fan of Barça and I've always prioritised them. I put money from my own pocket to train here and at 18 I didn't listen to an offer from Milan (Alberto Zaccheroni's Milan in 1998/1999 season). It wasn't an effort, that's just who I am."
