Stefano Pioli's Milan still aims for silverware this season as the hope is to go all the way in the Europa League and try to get as many victories as possible also in Serie A. The Rossoneri club management, however, is aware that there have been many setbacks and difficulties this season, which need to be addressed in the summer transfer window.
In fact, Giorgio Furlani, Geoffrey Moncada, and Antonio D'Ottavio are beginning to put down in writing the deals to be sealed in the summer of 2024.
One of the names on the shortlist of AC Milan, there is also Joshua Zirkzee of Bologna.
He is a talented Dutch centre-forward who has 10 goals and 6 assists already this season between Serie A and Coppa Italia. He is a former Bayern Munich player. He is reportedly valued at around 40 million euros.
According to Pianeta Milan, the Rossoneri directors could try to sign Zirkzee by relying on Bologna's intention to sign Alexis Saelemaekers permanently and also by offering some interesting players such as Lorenzo Colombo (now on loan at Monza) who is valued at around 15 million euros and Marco Nasti (who is on loan at Bari) whose value is set at 5 million euros.
It is, however, worth remembering that Bayern Munich have an exclusive buy-clause set at 40 million euros regarding Zirkzee. In the Premier League, even Manchester United and Arsenal are interested in him too.
The difficulties in the transfer negotiation for Zirkzee could lead Milan to shift their attention on another striker.
Moncada, in fact, has been following him for a long time and has promoted him repeatedly. We are talking about Benjamin Šeško, born in 2003, a Slovenian who, this season, with RB Leipzig, has scored 11 goals in 30 matches so far.
But with a - spectacular - average of one goal every 117 minutes. A piece of news, which has come in the last few hours, makes Furlani and the entire Milan management smile.
According to Tuttomercatoweb.com, the Germans have opened up to selling Šeško in the summer: valuation? 40 million euros.
By acquiring the RB Leipzig young star, the Rossoneri would secure a striker for both the present and the future.
