During the interview granted to La Gazzetta dello Sport, former AC Milan head coach, Fabio Capello, analyses Stefano Pioli's current situation:
"I don't know if he'll be happy about it, but Stefano (Pioli) knows better than anyone that beyond words or roles, this profession is about results. The words of those in charge must be listened to, of course, but in the end, victories on the field count more than anything."
Capello continued:
"At the end of the season, only the standings and results in the cups will be looked at, the rest is philosophy."
