Olivier Giroud is closer and closer to going to America for a new experience.

In fact, according to what is told by the French outlet L'Equipe, the striker for the French national team and AC Milan (with whom he has scored 14 goals and provided nine assists in 36 matches in all competitions this year) will not renew his contract expiring in June with the Rossoneri and will move overseas.

Giroud to MLS?

The former Chelsea player has indeed chosen to follow in the footsteps of one of his former national teammates, Hugo Lloris, who left Tottenham and now guards the goal for Los Angeles FC.

Once he moves to MLS, the French newspaper emphasizes, the 37-year-old player will have to bid farewell to the Olympic dream because his new club would need him during periods that are outside FIFA slots and therefore couldn't grant him availability to join the national team coached by Henry.
