AC Milan, under the guidance of head coach Stefano Pioli, is working on securing the second spot in the league.
Reaching the next edition of the Champions League competition and the Italian Supercup in Saudi Arabia will be important for the Rossoneri club ownership in order to generate revenue. Meanwhile, Giorgio Furlani, Geoffrey Moncada, Antonio D'Ottavio and Zlatan Ibrahimovic are planning to strengthen the team for next season.
The club's transfer target is mainly a new striker, without also forgetting a defender to replace Kjaer who is reportedly in his last season at Milanello. In addition to that, a midfielder or even two may be needed.
Milan could try to close two transfer market deals. One, discussed in recent months, concerns the transfer of Assan Ouédraogo to the Rossoneri. Born in 2006, currently at Schalke 04, he's worth around 20 million euros. He's a midfielder who could excel in the 4-2-3-1 formation, providing backup for Loftus-Cheek.
Then, for the central midfield position, there has been talk of Khéphren Thuram from Nice (difficult, costs over 40 million euros) and Youssouf Fofana from Monaco (more likely, as his contract expires in 2025). But keep an eye especially on two names: Pierre-Emile Højbjerg, a Danish midfielder born in 1995 leaving Tottenham for 20 million euros, and, above all, Sofyan Amrabat.
The 27-year-old Moroccan will return to Fiorentina after an unsuccessful loan spell at Manchester United and perhaps a move to Milan may be an option for him.
