The FIGC, through its website, has announced the sanction for Denzel Dumfries and Inter regarding the banner displayed by the Dutchman featuring Milan player Theo Hernandez during the Scudetto celebrations:
"Following a plea bargain agreement reached by the parties (pursuant to Article 126 of the CGS), Inter player Denzel Dumfries has been fined 4,000 euros. Inter has also been fined the same amount, under the principle of objective responsibility.
"A proceeding was opened against Dumfries and Inter for displaying a banner with 'unequivocally allusive and therefore disrespectful and offensive content towards Milan player Theo Hernandez and, as a result, more generally towards the latter club and its supporters, specifically, a banner prominently showing an image depicting Theo Hernandez with the features of a dog held on a leash by Dumfries himself' during the parade organized by the club on April 28 to celebrate the Scudetto victory on an open-top bus."
