During the last summer transfer window, there were talks about Barcelona's interest, led by president Joan Laporta, in Rafael Leao. His departure, however, was never up for discussion, as explicitly stated by Giorgio Furlani himself.
This was despite rumours of Leao potentially being open to a transfer and, above all, the Blaugrana's determination to make an attempt at all costs. In any case, nothing materialised in the end, partly due to the ongoing economic and financial difficulties faced by the Catalan club.
Now, according to reports from 'ElNacional.cat', Joan Laporta's Barcelona is reportedly willing to do whatever it takes to sign Rafael Leao, whom Laporta is particularly fond of.
Moreover, there is even talk of an agreement between the Barcelona president and the Milan forward's agent, Jorge Mendes.
To sign Leao, Barcelona want to rely on the well-known Portuguese agent...
The key factor is this: the super-agent will help the Blaugrana's top man negotiate with the Rossoneri under one condition, that the contract with Nike is renewed, which would provide the Catalans with a significant financial boost, as relayed via Pianeta Milan.
