Maurizio Compagnoni, speaking to Sky Sport Italia, discussed Milan's current form ahead of tonight's match at the Santiago Bernabéu against Real Madrid, a game that promises to be crucial for the Rossoneri's European journey.
Compagnoni not only examined the expectations for the match but also the performance of individual players, starting with Rafael Leão, who had a mixed performance against Monza.

Here are his comments.
On Rafael Leao starting the match:
"Fonseca hinted at it on Saturday night in Monza. But also, it’s not as if Okafor played well; on the contrary, he missed two chances and had a poor showing in Monza. Leão came on and did fairly well, making that impressive run from coast to coast, although he squandered the chance once he was in front of the goalkeeper."
He continued to talk about Rafael Leao:
"He does seem to be in good shape, and he seems to have understood his mistakes. Obviously, when out of possession, we’ll never see him play exactly as the coach wants; it’s just not in him. But I see him as more aggressive and determined. It's possible, and with Leao, it often is, that these recent benchings, three consecutive ones in the league, plus being subbed in the critical moment against Bruges, have had some effect."
Leao has the ability to break open games...
"And right now, Real Madrid seems like a team that lacks balance. In their match against Stuttgart, they won, but I watched it, and the Germans deserved much more than Real Madrid did."
