Empoli vice president, Rebecca Corsi, gave an interview to La Gazzetta dello Sport recently in which she discussed the current situation of the Azzurri club and commented on the performances of the AC Milan loanee, Devis Vasquez, a goalkeeper who arrived on loan with an option to buy (just under one million) from Milan, which will retain a percentage on any future resale (10%).

"In the summer, many wanted him: we chose him, and he chose us, seeing Empoli as a great opportunity. And this is our added value—the credibility of the pathway we offer and that an athlete can pursue with commitment and a desire to grow."
The Empoli vice president also said this about Devis Vasquez:
"He is improving, and in these first months, he has made himself available, but like everyone, he still has a long way to go.”
