As previously reported, on Monday, Milan’s City Council approved the sale of San Siro and the surrounding areas, with a tight schedule, a strict timeline, and certain conditions for the buyer, whether that be the Rossoneri club, or the Nerazzurri or others.

Il Giornale newspaper recapped the statements of Alessandro Verri, leader of the Lega group. Here are the demands made to Mayor Sala:
"The City Council should establish a special commission to oversee the administrative process that will lead to the potential sale of the stadium and the allocation of resources. Sala is wrong to suggest that the City Council will be granted, as a courtesy, the ability to decide where any funds from the sale of San Siro will be allocated."
On the potential sale, he added:
"The laws place the City Council at the center, which is why a collaborative process must begin within a special commission that will convene the mayor weekly and work for the good of our city."
