Former AC Milan midfielder Massimo Ambrosini appeared on the YouTube channel of colleague Giulia Mizzoni to take stock of the moment and the season experienced by the Rossoneri team, also in light of the 1-1 draw imposed on Inter in the first leg of the Coppa Italia semifinals. Here is an excerpt of his words:
"I think Milan has had a constant this season: they've had too many wrong approaches to matches. Then it's also true that they’ve come back many times, like in the derbies or by playing high-level matches like in Madrid, but this should cause a lot of anger in the players and in the club, because I continue to think that this team is strong, but it has made unforgivable mistakes."

Ambrosini continues:
"The biggest mistake? Superficiality, because a team that has this value and technical depth cannot make certain attitude errors. The other night, however, when the team was organized and connected, they showed they could stand up to one of the best teams in Europe. Despite the technical quality being shown on only a few occasions, Milan is currently in ninth place in Serie A, far from European qualification spots, and they were not able to get past the first round of the Champions League, having been eliminated in the playoffs by modest Feyenoord."
Ambrosini concluded:
"In my opinion, the approaches to matches indicate that the team has been lacking in terms of feeling and soul. In just the last six games, Milan has gone behind five times. If you constantly fall short, it means you have a huge flaw in this regard. Clearly, the club has not been able to push the right buttons, and the players are also clearly responsible and not without fault. If they made certain mistakes in Parma-Milan at the beginning of the year and are still making them against Napoli, it means they haven’t found a remedy.”
