According to today’s edition of Tuttosport, Milan is ready to make the final two market moves requested by Massimiliano Allegri to complete the squad: a high-profile striker (the top priority) and a central defender, in anticipation of a possible permanent switch to a three-man defense.

For the defensive department, the club can wait until the last ten days of the transfer window, searching for last-minute opportunities. Rossoneri scouts are monitoring several profiles: Caleb Okoli (Leicester), Igli Tare’s favorite Berat Djimsiti (though considered non-transferable by Atalanta), and the young Ryan Flamingo (PSV), among others under evaluation. The choice will also depend on the budget.

If Milan manages to bring in Rasmus Hojlund on loan with an option to buy, part of the remaining funds could be allocated to the defender. Currently, the central defenders in the squad are Tomori, De Winter, Gabbia, and Pavlovic: in the event of a switch to a back three, the need for another defender at Milanello becomes clear.

Milan, negotiations for the Danish striker are ongoing

Manchester United is asking for guarantees, and there is interest from Leipzig and Borussia Dortmund, but the player seems to prefer a return to Serie A, where he had impressed with Atalanta in 2022/23. Both his agency and his father Anders, who remains his main advisor, are convinced of this. Milan is ready to offer a €5 million loan with an option to buy between €40–45 million, increasing confidence in bringing him back to Italy. Meanwhile, the management is keeping other options open: Vlahovic (Juventus), Dovbyk (Roma), Krstovic (Lecce), and Jackson (Chelsea), in case the Hojlund deal falls through.

On the outgoing front, the coming days will also be busy. Nottingham Forest is ready to offer €30 million for Musah, the amount set by Milan for approval. Okafor could also leave, with Leeds interested, while talks with Fulham over Chukwueze remain stalled. Magni, a key figure in the summer, will go on loan to Cesena, while Coubis is attracting interest from Avellino, Sampdoria, Cluj, and KS Cracovia.
