Samuele Ricci returns, Scamacca might come back, and there’s a battle between Caprile and Di Gregorio to replace the injured Meret. Italy's head coach Gennaro Gattuso confirms the group that won the first four matches and prepares for the double fixture against Moldova (Chisinau, Thursday 13th) and Norway (San Siro, Sunday 16th), as pointed out by La Gazzetta dello Sport in this morning's print edition.
The training camp begins Monday in Coverciano. Italy is already sure of second place in the group, which means a playoff spot, and can only hope Norway slips up against Estonia on November 13 to turn the match at San Siro against Haaland's teammates (November 16) into a direct playoff.
