The match between Milan and Juventus will be played on the pitch tonight, but it could also take place at the negotiation tables of the transfer market. In particular, as of today, both the Rossoneri and the Bianconeri share a couple of high-profile free-agent targets: midfielder Leon Goretzka and striker Robert Lewandowski. Even though no transfer fee is required to sign them, financial resources will still be necessary, and for this reason the two clubs are considering which players could be sacrificed to raise funds.
The Italian newspaper Tuttosport today mentions two of them, one for each club:
"Fofana and Gatti: for sale. A war chest for big signings."
In the subheading, it refers to the Juventus centre-back, who is also being followed by Galatasaray in Turkey:
"The Juventus defender is liked in the Premier League: Nottingham and Everton are attentive."
In the subtitle, the situation of Fofana is also addressed, with two French clubs reportedly interested in the Milan midfielder:
"Lyon and Marseille have their eyes on the Milan midfielder: he could finance the arrival of Goretzka. Milan’s asking price is high: around 30 million euros are needed for the Frenchman."
