Regarding the Rossoneri market, today’s edition of Corriere dello Sport headlines this morning:

"Milan have three thorns. Chukwueze, Bennacer and Musah will return: that’s 60 million lost."

The club has several players out on loan whose permanent transfers would bring in millions to Milan’s coffers, which would then be reinvested in the market. However, there are three players who are unlikely to be bought outright: Samuel Chukwueze, Ismaël Bennacer and Yunus Musah. Without their departures, around €60 million will fall through.

The real deciding factor is the buy-out clauses for Yunus Musah and Samuel Chukwueze, though the circumstances differ. Atalanta’s option to buy the American would bring in €26 million; frankly, barring a huge surprise, it seems almost impossible that 'La Dea' will exercise the option given how little the former Valencia midfielder has played this season.

The hope of a significant fee therefore rests on the Nigerian winger: Fulham are happy with Chukwueze, but his performances have been those of a squad player. Is the English club willing to spend €24 million on a utility player? More likely the 'Cottagers' will sit down to negotiate a lower price.

Finally, there is Ismaël Bennacer, whose situation is unclear. When fit this year, the Algerian has always been a starter with Dinamo Zagreb; the problem is that he has suffered two long injuries. The buy-out is set at €10 million, and payment depends on the Croatian club’s strategy.
