After the 2-0 loss at the Mapei stadium, Massimiliano Allegri spoke to the microphones of Sky Sport Italia in the following way:
"Today we played the worst match of the season. We need to put this game behind us and start again from the Atalanta match. It’s not that the team didn’t want to play; it was just a bad game. The sending-off did not help us either. From difficult moments you get back up by taking responsibility."
On points:
"The points we have are the ones we deserve. There is a difference between the first half of the season and the second half, but it’s pointless thinking about that now. We need to qualify for the Champions League. The solution is to stay united and try to prepare for the Atalanta match as well as possible," commented Allegri.
On what happened in the last seven matches, Allegri had this to say:
“What has been done so far must be set aside. We need to have a positive attitude and know that our fate is in our own hands, staying focused on what our objective is to achieve.”
