Matteo Moretto, speaking in a video on Fabrizio Romano’s YouTube channel, said the following about the new chief executive of AC Milan who will replace Giorgio Furlani:
"Even in the last few hours, Gerry Cardinale, Zlatan Ibrahimović and Calvelli have held calls with several sporting directors, including foreign profiles. Milan are looking for a sporting director, and then they will move on to the coach. The organisational structure will be reshaped, and I can confirm that Calvelli will have increasing power. At present, there are strong chances that he could become, at least on an interim basis, the new Milan chief executive, and then we will see if he remains in the future."
