The AC Milan club, under the guidance of trio Gery Cardinale, Zlatan Ibrahimovic, and Massimo Calvelli, are working on reshaping the squad during this summer. One vacant position that needs to be filled is the head coaching role. After Massimiliano Allegri's exit, there have been talks of several names, most notably Oliver Glasner, fresh from winning the Conference League with Premier League outfit Crystal Palace.

In fact, the Austrian tactician is due to meet with AC Milan today, followed by talks with Matthias Jaissle on Thursday, as the club continues its search for a new head coach. As part of the evaluation process, AC Milan have relied on several technical advisors with close ties to the club to provide independent assessments of the candidates.
As per our information, Oliver Glasner is currently the leading candidate, not only on sporting grounds but also because the financial terms of a potential agreement are more feasible.
Milan already have the terms of a three-year deal worth around 4-5 million euros per season ready should they decide to move forward with Glasner.
As for Matthias Jaissle, he is highly appreciated internally, but the economics of the deal remain a major obstacle, as we have already explained. The ex RB Salzburg boss earns a salary of 12 million euros per year and his contract runs until the summer of 2027. Any move for him would require a fnancial settlement linked to the remaining value of his contract.
Is Arne Slot in the race for the AC Milan job?
Regarding Arne Slot, who has left Liverpool recently, he is not under consideration by AC Milan and does not feature on shortlist to replace Max Allegri.
