Claudio Raimondi, speaking on SportMediaset on Italia Uno, outlined the strengths and weaknesses of the three main candidates for the AC Milan head coach position, namely Oliver Glasner, Arne Slot and Mauricio Pochettino.
On Oliver Glasner:
"This is the hottest lead, especially after yesterday’s meeting in which the former Crystal Palace manager made an excellent impression. The Austrian is highly appreciated by Gerry Cardinale and Massimo Calvelli for his modern and winning style of football. The doubts stem from the fact that in his career he has never managed a top club."

Arne Slot:
"He is very much liked by Zlatan Ibrahimović, also for agent-related reasons (Rafaela Pimenta). After being dismissed by Liverpool FC, the Dutchman is highly motivated for redemption and also knows how to win, having done so both with the Reds and with Feyenoord. As shown, for example, by the case of Salah last season, Slot does not appear particularly adept at managing turbulent situations in the dressing room. Added to this is his high salary demand, as he asks for €6 million per year."

What about Mauricio Pochettino?
"The Argentine, who has previously managed Paris Saint-Germain, Tottenham Hotspur and Chelsea FC, has extensive international experience. The major issue is that Pochettino is currently the head coach of the United States national team and will therefore only be available after the World Cup, which begins on 11 June."
