Michele Criscitiello, journalist and editor, expressed the following views in his editorial for Sportitalia regarding AC Milan's current management:
"What is happening at Milan goes beyond mere disorganisation and improvisation. In recent weeks, there has been a complete lack of respect for the fans, the trophy cabinet, and the history of this club. Cardinale is neither a football man nor a showman. Anyone running a club like Milan must possess, in this order: money, passion, expertise, and a deep understanding of this sport and business."

"It's true that investment funds have transformed and, in some ways, helped football, but if you have money and lack everything else, then there is little point in running a football club in Italy. Cardinale cannot continue like this. He should focus solely on finding a buyer. Let him pursue his business interests elsewhere and step aside."
"The clear-out at the beginning of the month is understandable, but what cannot be tolerated are the uncertainties and the state of confusion in which a club has been operating after being left in complete disarray. The danger is that Inter could pull significantly further ahead, benefiting not only from their own strengths but also from the astonishing own goals scored by their main rivals. In this climate of total mediocrity, there is room for Roma to grow and make progress."
