Italian journalist Matteo Moretto, in a video published on Fabrizio Romano's YouTube channel, provided important updates on the possible arrival of Ralf Rangnick at Milan:
"This will be a very important week. There have been new contacts between Milan and Ralf Rangnick, including over the weekend. The Rossoneri are evaluating several options, and the German is also trying to understand whether the club is ready for this change, because he would only join Milan under certain conditions: with his own trusted people as sporting director and head coach, and with a particular mentality that could lay solid foundations for a long-term project. At the moment, these foundations are not in place at Milan, given that the club has to start again from scratch. Gerry Cardinale is looking for a figure capable of rebuilding everything from the ground up. Therefore, if certain things are done in a certain way, put in writing, and carefully planned, it is a project that could work."
"If Rangnick has had recent contact with Milan, the same cannot be said of Ramon Planes, who has not spoken with the Rossoneri since the beginning of last week. Milan are waiting for Rangnick, but he wants to fully understand the club's intentions. The Diavolo expect a response from the German by the end of this week, making it a decisive period for understanding whether Rangnick will say yes or no to Milan. There have been more than two meetings with the German; I am told there have actually been three. He is the figure Milan have met with most frequently. If Rangnick's demands are fully met, I am told he is genuinely fascinated by the prospect of working at Milan and rebuilding a club like the Rossoneri from scratch."
"Glasner is one of Rangnick's leading choices. At the moment, this is the most likely pairing. Glasner has given absolute priority to Milan; he knows he has a strong chance of becoming the Rossoneri's new head coach, and therefore everything else takes a back seat. As for both Planes and Pochettino, their last contacts with Milan date back to the beginning of last week. In the coming hours, Milan will also contact other coaches, but at the moment the hottest lead is the one that points to Glasner."
