Fabrizio Biasin, a journalist, spoke to Cronache di Spogliatoio about the ownership of Italian clubs, starting with AC Milan's:
"In Italy, there is a lack of top-level executives. It's not as if people are asking for extraordinary things to be done, but rather for order to be brought to clubs that have always had it. And Milan has always been an example of this. Now it is struggling precisely with the basics: how to structure the transfer market strategy and how to build a management team."
"For a long time, I have questioned the Milan management's inability to handle the basic things. But in my opinion, there is something else that is even more serious and worrying for Milan supporters. Namely, the fact that perhaps those in charge at Milan are not particularly concerned with the things that matter to us."
"Let me give you an example: since Cardinale took charge, has Milan lost value or increased in value? I believe it has increased in value. In other words, if he sold the club tomorrow, would he make a profit compared to when he bought it, or not? Therefore, profit is what he is pursuing, regardless of sporting results."
"He is focusing on the stadium, the NBA, revenue, and turnover: all things that are useful for selling the club and making money from it. My concern is that there may not be all that much anxiety or concern about what happens on the pitch."
