Milan’s transfer market could intertwine with Chelsea’s movements on the flanks. The Rossoneri, in fact, are said to have set their sights on Malo Gusto, the French right-back born in 2003 who plays for the Blues, in the event that the English club decides to open the door to his departure. This has been reported by French media, according to whom the arrival of Marco Palestra at Chelsea could create a domino effect on the right flank. The young Italian full-back seemed close to Inter, but the London club’s move has changed the situation and could lead to a reassessment of squad hierarchy.
However, Gusto remains a key player for Chelsea.
The situation, however, appears less straightforward than expected. According to Fabrizio Romano, Chelsea currently have no intention of letting go of Malo Gusto. The English club is reportedly considering whether to adapt Palestra on the left flank or to place him in direct competition with the Frenchman. For this reason, a potential departure for the 2003-born player would only be possible in the event of an offer deemed out of the market, as relayed via milanpress.it.
Chelsea’s asking price would be £75 million, which is equivalent to around €87 million.
This is a very high valuation that would make the deal difficult not only for Milan, but for most of the clubs interested. The Rossoneri may therefore have to consider alternatives, unless Chelsea revise their demands over the summer.
