That AC Milan need a centre-forward is certainly not news this summer. Regardless of the club's internal restructuring or the change on the bench, the Rossoneri had a clear obligation this summer to sign a striker capable of scoring consistently. The last player to do so was Olivier Giroud, although he was already approaching 40, despite making a memorable contribution. The work carried out by Ruben Amorim together with Milan's recruitment team has produced a name that the club will focus on over the coming days: Gonçalo Ramos.

AC Milan choose Gonçalo Ramos for its attack:
New head coach Ruben Amorim has given his recommendations, while Milan's recruitment staff have analysed the data and algorithms. In the end, the name that emerged as the leading option for the Rossoneri attack was Gonçalo Ramos. This morning, La Gazzetta dello Sport confirmed reports that had been circulating for several days and gained real momentum yesterday late afternoon. The Portuguese striker is still young, at just 25 years of age, but has already built up significant experience through numerous successes with Paris Saint-Germain, as well as during his breakthrough years at Benfica. He is a goalscorer who attacks space in behind the defence, exactly the type of forward the new Milan coach prefers.
In 2023, Paris Saint-Germain signed Gonçalo Ramos from Benfica for €65 million, with around a further €15 million in bonuses added over time. It was a major investment, although his valuation is now lower, helped by the player's own desire to find a situation where he can play more regularly. According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, Milan are currently offering less than €40 million, while the Parisian club are asking for around €45 million, including fixed and bonus payments. The player's agent, Jorge Mendes, is already working to smooth out the remaining details. Milan are prepared to offer Ramos a long-term contract worth €4 million per season.
