Gonçalo Ramos is the man of the moment at AC Milan, and it could hardly be otherwise. The Portuguese striker is the Rossoneri's first signing of the summer transfer window. He will join Rúben Amorim's squad at Milanello in a deal worth a total of €75 million plus bonuses, carrying the weight of becoming the most expensive signing in AC Milan's history. With this move, Gerry Cardinale hopes to finally solve the centre-forward problem that has persisted for quite some time.
Here's journalist Luca Bianchin's assessment of Gonçalo Ramos, who is set to become Milan's new striker:
"Ramos is at his best inside the penalty area, where he excels at losing his marker over short distances, finding his balance quickly, and getting his shot away. He combines physical strength with solid technical ability, and it's no coincidence that the goals keep coming, especially when the team supplies him with crosses from the wings and well-weighted through balls. Gonçalo can shoot with either foot, is strong in the air, and has mastered the art of first-time finishes and deflections. Over the years, he has also developed the ability to make an impact coming off the bench, but that's something he will want to leave behind at Milan: he is arriving to be the team's first-choice striker."
