Ever since Ruben Amorim was officially announced as AC Milan's new head coach, people have been wondering when the Portuguese manager would set foot in Milan for the first time. His contract with the Rossoneri was signed digitally from afar, so when Amorim lands in the city, it will be his first visit, already with the intention of beginning work on the season he has, in reality, already been working on for several days. Yesterday, he held a four-hour meeting with Cardinale, Almstadt and Gardiner to discuss the transfer market.
Reporting on yesterday's meeting in Lisbon, La Gazzetta dello Sport also notes this morning that Ruben Amorim's arrival in Milan has been scheduled for 6 July. This will allow the Portuguese coach and his staff to begin familiarising themselves with their new working environment, particularly the Milanello training centre. About a week later, between 12 and 13 July, AC Milan's pre-season training camp will begin with the players who did not take part in the Club World Cup.
