During the usual video update on Fabrizio Romano’s YouTube channel, Matteo Moretto gave an overview of AC Milan’s transfer market situation. Below are his statements:
“Overnight, after the World Cup third-place play-off between France and England, Adrien Rabiot spoke, confirming that in the coming days he will speak directly with Ruben Amorim to discuss Milan’s future plans together. Rabiot has a current contract with Milan, and his words were quite clear: ‘I’m starting again from Milan’, so starting with Amorim.
Obviously, Rabiot was fully focused on the World Cup, but now he will be able to turn his attention back to Milan, which is his present. Unless there are offers or unexpected developments, it will also be his future. Milan’s intention is to have Rabiot as part of their future plans.”
On Samuele Ricci’s future:
“Keep an eye on Ricci’s future because, yes, he only arrived less than a year ago and signed a contract until 2029. Last season he played 34 matches, scoring one goal and providing four assists. He was still an important player during certain stages of the season in terms of Milan’s dynamics.
However, I am told that, due to his characteristics, his situation will have to be assessed. If an interesting offer were to arrive for him, Milan would consider it, because based on the type of players Amorim wants, he has already established an initial hierarchy, and Ricci is not among the very first names in that order.
"Therefore, it cannot be ruled out that Ricci could leave Milan during this summer.”
