Beşiktaş head coach Vincenzo Italiano gave an interview to La Gazzetta dello Sport, during which he also spoke about turning down AC Milan and shared his thoughts on the upcoming Serie A season. Here are his comments:
On whether he has ever said no to Milan:
"Only after winning the Coppa Italia. My first trophy created so much enthusiasm, both in Bologna and within myself, that I felt emotions I couldn't ignore. I wanted to experience them again, so I decided to stay."
On the upcoming Serie A season:
"Milan have appointed a very good coach, but I still see Inter at the top, with Napoli right behind them. And in my opinion, Gasp hasn't finished surprising people yet..."
