Former AC Milan goalkeeper and Rossoneri goalkeeping coach Nelson Dida also attended Franco Baresi’s funeral at the Basilica of Sant’Ambrogio in Milan. The Brazilian was interviewed in the mixed zone set up in the area outside the church.
Nelson Dida’s tribute to Franco Baresi: "It’s a truly sad day. We know what kind of man and player he was. I’m here to say my final goodbye, and I hope he can feel all these emotions from the people who are here today. He was a great footballer, a great man and a great father. Those of us who had the chance to share time with him learned so much."
