The magic of Alphadjo Cisse is making its way into the homes of every Milan fan. We had already got a taste of it during pre-season, in the first friendly matches. Raw talent, personality and a level of physical fitness that was still not at its best following the serious injury he suffered last winter, shortly after he had signed for Milan. Him, Cisse, not Liberali. Two stories of talented, promising young players, but with completely different paths for now. On one side, the Rossoneri gem scores a superb goal against Juventus. On the other, there is a talented youngster who has yet to find his place at Como.
Ruben Amorim rates and appreciates Cisse.
Alpha's introduction in Turin was impactful, like that of a top player. The youngster seems to play with remarkable personality and freedom. Liberali had not done too badly either when, under Fonseca, he made his debut in Milan's draw against Genoa at San Siro. Two seasons have passed, and the Rossoneri finally seem to have found a talent they can invest in and develop. It will take time and patience, we know that, but these are the kinds of stories that make you fall in love. The gem against Torino on the opening day, on his first-team debut. The beautiful and hugely important goal against Juventus, which could have proved decisive. Cisse is magic and is certainly more ready to make an impact at a Serie A club, unlike someone who, to this day, has still been unable to stand out and earn a place in his current environment, as pointed out via Milan News.
Allegri not convinced?
When Cisse joined Milan during the previous season, he was effectively the final signing of the Furlani era. Igli Tare and Massimiliano Allegri were among the least optimistic about and least convinced by the former Catanzaro player's talent. The current Napoli manager wanted to be able to work with players who were ready and fully developed for Champions League football, rather than necessarily relying on a young prospect who was still to be discovered and developed. According to Allegri, Cisse was suited only to Milan Futuro. Today, reality seems very different.
