After a disappointing European debut, Ruben Amorim’s Milan return to league action before the long break between September and October. In today's press conference, the Rossoneri's head coach, Ruben Amorim, had the following words to say when asked about the 0-2 loss against Benfica at San Siro:
"Why the rotation against Benfica? Benfica changed nine players compared to their previous match, and we needed to rotate as well. It’s not that we lost because of the players who were on the pitch in the first half. We had many more chances, more possession and more touches in the opposition box. Sometimes you simply cannot find the goal. Benfica scored from the chances they created. It is a matter of collective performance, not individual players."
