Ahead of Milan’s away trip to Genoa this afternoon, today’s edition of Corriere della Sera carries the following headline:
"Milan with the big names for redemption. The Rabiot test is worth double."
The Rossoneri must get back on their feet immediately following their poor defeat in the Europa League against Ferencvaros, but it will not be easy against Genoa, who are going through an excellent period of form, having won their last three consecutive Serie A matches. Ruben Amorim will bring back his big names to the starting eleven, after they initially started on the bench on Thursday, namely Mario Gila, Luka Modric, Diego Moreira and Christian Pulisic.
Adrien Rabiot will also be among those under close observation, as an immediate reaction is expected from him following his very poor performance against Ferencvaros. Milan need the French midfielder to show his best version, while he is currently discussing a contract renewal with the club. His current deal expires in 2028, with a proposed extension until 2030 and an increase in his salary from €4 million to €5 million per season.
