Leonardo Bonucci, former defender and captain of Milan for a single (negative) season spoke to Prime Video about his arrival at the Rossoneri, as reported by gianlucadimarzio.com:
"It was late June, my agent called me and told me there was this possibility. After the Cardiff final, something broke at Juventus. I spoke with Juve, and we agreed that our paths should separate, and then Milan came up. I would have been the symbol of the rebirth, with the captain’s armband."

Bonucci continued:
"It meant helping Milan become successful again, for me, what Juve was doing didn’t matter, I was focused on myself. I experienced what had been done to me so badly that I only thought about my own good. Regret leaving Juve? At that moment, you make choices based on the situation you're living in. The year before, the club told me: ‘We won’t sell you even for 100 million euros.’ Then they sold me to Milan for 42 million euros, and De Sciglio was part of it; they sold me for 30 million. It wasn’t like they were determined to keep me at all costs."
On his celebration in Juventus-Milan, Bonucci commented:
"I’d do it again. At that moment, I was playing for Milan, and I gave everything for every team I played for, and a figure within Juventus treated me the wrong way. For me, not celebrating is a sign of disrespect to the new fans. When I left Juventus, I thanked the fans, the president, the director, the former teammates, and that was it… Is someone missing? You get it..."
