This afternoon, the presentation press conference for Davide Calabria took place. He recently transferred from Milan to Bologna during the winter transfer window.
Here's what he said:
"There’s a positive atmosphere here, and I like that. I want to play my cards right, and I’m confident I can make the most of this opportunity. I see this as a chance for redemption, to get back to playing regularly like in past years. Over there (at Milan), some unpleasant situations had developed. Here, I’m already happy because I’ve found a healthy environment with super positive energy, something that had perhaps been missing lately. Conceição? I don’t want to discuss that topic anymore.”

Calabria on leaving Milan:
“It was a decision that matured over time; it was the right choice for everyone. We handled it in a mature way, and it seemed the most logical step for all parties. There was a bit of sadness in saying goodbye, but I also know how much I gave for that shirt. I chose this club as a new adventure because I believe there’s potential here. The director made a great impression on me over the phone, and since arriving, I’ve found a pleasant environment, an ambitious team that works hard. I think this can help me have a strong season from now until the end, and I believe I can help this team grow. From the very first moment I arrived, I was happy, and that’s very important for me.”
Did Calabria get advice from Tommaso Pobega and Alexis Saelemaekers before joining Bologna?
“I spoke with Tommi and Alex, even just to find a place to live (laughs)," said the Italian right-back. "But you only need to look at how well Bologna has worked in recent years, that was the main thing that made me realize this was the right choice for me. I approach things my own way; I’m not arrogant, there’s mutual respect. The atmosphere is happy, and that’s a fantastic thing. They welcomed me really well, everyone, from the players to the staff. It’s important for new players to feel part of the group.”
