The 2024/25 Coppa Italia is approaching its crucial phase: between Wednesday, April 23 and Thursday, April 24, in fact, the second legs of the semi-finals of the competition will be played, which will determine the two finalists who will compete for the Cup: Inter or Milan, after the 1-1 draw in the first leg, and Bologna or Empoli after the clear 3-0 victory in the first leg by the Rossoblù at the home of the Tuscans.

The current season is the first edition of the Coppa Italia within the new cycle of television rights. The tournament was acquired exclusively by Mediaset, which paid around 56 million euros (between fixed and variable parts), to which 2 million euros in fixed costs are added, for a total of around 58 million euros annually, compared to the 48 million euros per year paid during the 2021–2024 three-year period, as relayed via Calciomercato.com.
According to what was reported by Calcio e Finanza, the prize pool figures for the clubs for the current season will not differ much from those of 2023/24. Until last year, reaching the final act of the competition was worth up to 5 million euros (for the team defeated in the final) and up to 7.6 million euros for the one who lifts the trophy. To these amounts must then be added the revenues from ticket sales for each home match played in the various rounds of the tournament.
