It was an urgent matter and still is, but despite the casting having started over two months ago, Milan still does not have a new sporting director—a figure that has been terribly missed in recent seasons. But at the club's headquarters, there continues to be great chaos and, above all, too many differing visions on the matter. As Corriere dello Sport writes this morning, the saga continues without making any progress:
"Plucking the daisy, at Milan, is not a simple operation. Quite the opposite. Everyone wants their own petal, everyone would like to keep the flower for themselves, everyone has their own timing for action. And in the end, nothing gets done, despite the fact that the decision in question is of primary importance for the fate of the club's near future, and that among the parameters of effectiveness, there is also the element of proper timing in addition to, naturally, the quality of the choice itself. The saga for the search for the new Rossoneri sporting director and, as a direct consequence, the coach for next season, continues without any steps forward being made. It feels like being on a treadmill: you're running, you're moving, but you’re always in the same place; in fact, the more time passes, the more you risk falling behind due to exhaustion."
