The first of the two clashes between Milan and Bologna, the one to be played on Friday evening at San Siro on the occasion of the 36th matchday of the Serie A Enilive season, will be refereed by Mr. Livio Marinelli from the Tivoli section. This will be the sixth meeting with the Rossoneri for the Italian referee, who, interestingly, officiated the Milan team for the first time in a match at San Siro against Bologna: it was during the 2021/2022 season — the Scudetto-winning one — and the match ended in a goalless draw.
This was the only Milan match refereed by Marinelli that the Rossoneri did not win: the other five were all victories for the red and black team, against Udinese, Monza, Sassuolo, and Verona. The most recent encounter was precisely against Hellas this season, in the match before Christmas at the Bentegodi, where Milan won 1-0 thanks to a goal by Reijnders. It will be the eighth meeting, instead, with Bologna, also with a positive record: three wins, three draws, and two defeats.
