AC Milan have set their sights on Javi Guerra and see him as the ideal replacement for Tijjani Reijnders, who left in recent weeks for Manchester. The midfielder, born in 2003, is valued at no less than €25 million by Valencia — a club with which Milan maintain good relations following the deal that brought Yunus Musah to Milan in the summer of 2023.

The Spaniard has been identified as the midfield runner — someone capable of providing both quality and goals for the team. At Casa Milan, the strategy is clear: he is the first-choice target for the midfield, but the club will not make any extravagant spending. According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, the first offer — still only hypothetical at this stage — would be €18 million plus €4 million in bonuses. Negotiations with the Spanish club, whose contract extension talks with the player (expiring in summer 2027) have stalled, will begin from this base.
Compared to Tijjani Reijnders, Javi Guerra is two years younger and would arrive at Milan with a more impressive résumé. He has already been a key figure in two La Liga seasons at Mestalla. La Gazzetta writes that the deal could be closed for around €20–25 million. The 22-year-old's potential arrival would not rule out that of Granit Xhaka.
