The transfer market often delivers unexpected twists and stories that can change direction in just a few days. This is the case with Radu Dragusin, the Romanian center-back who until recently seemed set to join Roma and could have made his debut at the Olimpico in yellow and red tomorrow against Milan. That scenario is now off the table, not only due to timing issues but also because the former Genoa and Juventus player has reportedly ended up on the rossoneri radar.

Dragusin proposed to Milan: Allegri is considering it
As of January 24, the Rossoneri club is still searching for a physical and reliable center-back to complete Massimiliano Allegri’s defensive line. Dragusin would represent an ideal profile for the coach’s 3-5-2, who knows him from his Juventus youth days and has closely followed his development at Genoa and Tottenham.
Igli Tare also holds the 2002-born player in high regard, and in recent days has initiated exploratory contacts with the player’s agents after Dragusin was proposed to the Italians. Tottenham has set a price of around 25 million euros for the Romanian defender, a significant but not impossible figure.
The club management will try to play the loan-with-option-to-buy card in the final days of the transfer window, hoping for a last-minute opening from the London club, also considering Dragusin’s marginal role in Thomas Frank’s project. Tuttosport colleagues note that Federico Gatti, another Allegri target, remains in the background, but Juventus is currently not open to creative solutions. For this reason, now more than ever, Dragusin’s name could fit Milan’s needs.
