In his editorial on *tuttomercatoweb.com*, Niccolò Ceccarini discussed AC Milan’s summer transfer plans:

“And speaking of the Rossoneri, it should be noted that in recent days a first summit took place at Casa Milan to begin laying the groundwork for the next transfer campaign. Pretty much everyone was present: CEO Furlani, sporting director Tare, Ibrahimović, and of course Allegri. The two main signings will be a strong central defender and a striker capable of scoring 20 goals. Clearly, a lot will also depend on the available budget. Qualification for the Champions League is essential and would add to the €30 million already guaranteed from the permanent transfers of Pobega, Jiménez, and Morata. Additional funds could come from potential deals involving Colombo, Chukwueze, Terracciano, Musah, and Bennacer, and possibly also from the sales of Nkunku and Giménez. Not to mention that Leão’s future is still entirely undecided. Faced with a significant and suitable offer, Milan could give the green light to his departure."

"As for the striker, the search is not easy, especially given the costs and wages involved. Tare is making his evaluations and already has a few ideas in mind. One player they certainly like is Retegui, who moved to Saudi Arabia a year ago to Al-Qadisiyya. The player would be happy to return to Italy, but completing such a deal would require major financial figures, considering he was bought for nearly €70 million and earns €20 million per season. Impressive numbers that Milan would necessarily need to reduce. As a result, attention has also turned to Castro of Bologna. For the Argentine striker, the club is asking €40 million after signing him in January 2024 from Vélez Sarsfield for €15 million. The advantage in this case would be a much more affordable salary. There was also another option in France, namely Panichelli of Strasbourg, but the cruciate ligament injury he suffered during a training session with the Argentina national team has effectively taken him off the market. The Kean option is also difficult, partly due to his €62 million release clause.”
