Marcus Rashford’s future is still uncertain. The English winger will have to give everything in this final part of the season to earn confirmation from Barcelona. In this regard, the injury suffered by Raphinha, who will be sidelined for the next five weeks due to a hamstring injury in his right thigh, as confirmed by sources close to the Blaugrana club to Mundo Deportivo, could provide a rare opportunity for the former Manchester United player to finally convince the Catalan club to exercise their option to buy him outright from the Red Devils, set at 30 million euros.
Will Barcelona sign Marcus Rashford permanently?
According to Mundo Deportivo, Rashford’s representatives and Barcelona have already agreed on the potential contract terms for his future deal, should the Catalan side decide to activate the option and sign the English player permanently.
The final decision, however, will only be made at the end of the season, and only if Barcelona manage to comply with the strict Financial Fair Play requirements, as relayed via Calcio Mercato recently.
But what if that does not happen?
Although the player’s intention is to remain in Catalonia and continue playing in La Liga, if Barcelona ultimately decide not to sign Rashford permanently, at least two major clubs are ready to step in and pursue a potential transfer. In fact, as reported by CaughtOffside, these clubs are AC Milan and Paris Saint-Germain, both of whom are closely monitoring Rashford’s situation. In the past, both the Rossoneri and the French side had already shown interest in the player and could make another move in the summer if the British winger returns to Manchester United in the Premier League.
