Former player Giuseppe Bergomi gave an interview to La Gazzetta dello Sport in which he also discussed Serie A and AC Milan. Below are his statements.
“It's still early, but we have seen how in recent years Inter have never got their league campaign wrong. So I still see them up there in front of everyone else, as the team setting out to win Serie A. I always think about the foundation of Italian players. And if I know Beppe Marotta well, he cares a great deal about this Italian core, made up of experienced players and players on the rise. Building on this foundation, Inter are the team that remain at the top. But there is also another team that particularly intrigues me.”
Bergomi also had this to say:
“Milan are spending a lot on important profiles. And I liked Amorim, who said: ‘I’m here to win.’ Finally. In recent years, it seemed like everyone was playing just for fourth place… And then I’m very curious to understand Roma’s transfer market. With Gasperini, they can remain near the top.”
