Just over a year ago, the love story between Milan and Theo Hernandez came to an end. It had been a fairytale journey, one that began almost as a redemption story and established the Frenchman as one of the best full-backs in the world. However, it gradually unravelled season after season following Paolo Maldini's departure. Today, the former Rossoneri player could, and would like to, return to Italy. According to Tuttosport, Theo Hernandez has been offered to Juventus and Napoli.
Last year, Theo Hernandez embarked on a move to Saudi Arabia with Al Hilal, where he significantly boosted his earnings over the course of a year. The World Cup showed that, when fully fit and playing in a highly competitive environment, the Frenchman is still capable of performing at the highest level. Moreover, the former Milan defender is still relatively young at 29 and is ready to test himself again in top-level European football. The conditions also appear favourable on the Saudi side, as Al Hilal reportedly consider him surplus to requirements and would be willing to let him leave if the right offer arrives.
Theo Hernandez has been offered to Juventus and Napoli
For all these reasons, Tuttosport reports that his agent, Manuel Garcia Quilon, has offered him to clubs such as Juventus and Napoli. Juventus, in particular, are looking for a left-sided wing-back, but they would first need to free up space by selling Andrea Cambiaso, who currently does not have many offers on the table. In addition, Ricky Massara, who alongside Paolo Maldini brought Theo to Milan and is now Juventus' sporting director, is intrigued by the idea of reuniting with the Frenchman.
As for Napoli, Massimiliano Allegri would have gladly kept Theo at Milan last year, but he had to accept the reality of the strained relationship between the player and the club. For now, these remain only rumours, and it remains to be seen whether there will be any concrete developments.
