Among the many people who gathered this morning at the Basilica of Sant'Ambrogio in central Milan, alongside the great legends of the past, several more recent figures from AC Milan also came to pay their final respects to Franco Baresi.
One of them was former Rossoneri sporting director Igli Tare, who held the role only last season before being dismissed.
At the end of the funeral service, Tare spoke to the media in attendance.

"I grew up watching Franco Baresi. Supporting him, getting to know him personally, and having the opportunity to be part of this glorious club was a tremendous honour for me. But today, his loss is only partial, because he will live on forever in the hearts of Milan fans and football supporters all over the world," as relayed via Milan News.
