This season in Serie A, AC Milan managed to get 7 wins and one draw. The Rossoneri have 22 points after winning against Hellas Verona.

The club is doing well on a sporting level and the players have shown so much progress, especially the young ones such as Brahim Diaz, Alexis Saelemaekers who recently renewed his deal and Rafael Leao.

The Portuguese winger is the Rossoneri's jewel right now, he is the source of the danger from the left flank as he likes to drive forward and get on one on one situations.

Milan, after renewing the deal of Alexis Saelemaekers will open the dossiers of Franck Kessié, Alessio Romagnoli and Rafael Leao in the coming weeks. There is also the situation of Theo Hernandez who earns only 1.5 million euros which worries the club managers who think that PSG will keep attempting to promise the French full-back with much more money.

AC Milan will focus on the players who have expiring contracts in 2022 first, such as Franck Kessié and Alessio Romagnoli, then there will be the situation of Rafael Leao in particular.

According to what is reported Calciostyle.it, his current salary is at 1.4 million euros only per year. It is now considered as very little for a player of his caliber. Directors Paolo Maldini and Frederic Massara want to reach an agreement with the 22-year-old winger's entourage over a new deal which would be valid until 2026. As for the new salary, it would be around 4 million euros with a release clause (which is yet to be verified) rumoured to be at 200 million euros.
